We can help make your home comfortable and healthy for you and your family.

No matter how old your home is, it is prone to leaks in the air ducts. Leaky ducts can pull dust and pollutants into your home affecting your indoor air quality and inevitably, your health.

Aeroseal is a solution for leaky ductwork. It is patented to seal leaks in your ductwork from the inside rather than the outside. This technology uses high pressure sealant particles to make the escaped air stick to the edge of a leak in the duct system and seal it. Doing this is more efficient for your HVAC system and doesn’t require additional repairs to the existing ductwork. Aeroseal also helps your indoor air quality by keeping pollutants and allergens from entering the home and keeps your system working properly.

Aeroseal can solve high energy bills, uneven air distribution and temperatures, high humidity, excessive dust, and odors.

Benefits of Sealing Ductwork from the Inside

The reason why AeroSeal benefits you so much more than sealing ducts from the outside are that other methods of sealing from the outside don’t always hold for very long especially in hot and humid attics of the Outer Banks area. You don’t have to worry about any areas that a technician may not be able to reach since AeroSeal works from the inside.

During our initial inspection, we will look for any obvious air leaks in your system and ductwork and calculate how much heated or cooled air you are losing in a few key places like that attic, garage or even between walls. You may have noticed some hot or cold spots throughout your home or noticed higher than normal energy bills. Our experts will be able to show you how well or how poorly your system performs and point out the good air loss through leaky ducts or vents. We will also make note of any larger, major leaks caused by broken, disconnected or damaged ducts will need to be repaired prior to sealing as the sealant won’t be able to bond effectively over larger holes.

Once the home is fully sealed, air is dispersed to the areas of your home evenly and where it’s needed. This will also help with dust in your vents that gets pulled in from leaks in the ducts and vents. Sealing these off will reduce the dirt and dust circulating to stay out of your living rooms, bedrooms and kitchens.

The formula is a water-soluble organic compound and is safe for your home, family and pets. During the process, some sealant may leak from where there was a previously detected leak but this is harmless and will dry to ensure none of the vapor escapes into your living spaces. The drying time is around 2 hours depending on the size of the home and how much ductwork it has.

Savings and More

Depending on the conditions before getting AeroSeal, you may be able to save up to $850 per year in utility bills! The varying factors of the age of the home and the size will differ for every result but there’s no question that sealing your ducts with AeroSeal
